Supnah, you raise a terrific point. The prevalence of terrible advertising consistently annoys me, and unfortunately there doesn’t appear to be a correlation (at least not direct) between business success and advertising nuance. What I was trying to convey is that we will soon be in a situation where consumer are besieged by friend requests (and so forth) from brands, and at that point, some companies are going to fail. That doesn’t mean they’ll be a business failure, just a social media failure.
